     Henry Rensselaer Curtis was born on 12 June 1852 at Machias, Cattaraugus Co., NY.¹ He was the son of Rensselaer Curtis and Ruth Mary Foster.¹ Henry Rensselaer Curtis married Jane Ann Ball, daughter of William Ball and Eunice Kilbourne, on 29 June 1878 at Great Valley, Cattaraugus Co., NY.¹ Henry Rensselaer Curtis died on 15 February 1922 at Franklinville, Cattaraugus Co., NY, at age 69.¹ He was buried on 19 February 1922 at Mount Prospect Cemetery, Franklinville, Cattaraugus Co., NY.¹

Ball and Mary Ann Avery, on 7 November 1872 at Granby, Shefford Co., QC, Canada.¹ Margaret Ann Holley married second Horace Stewart Ball, son of Almond B. Ball and Mary Ann Avery, in October 1902.^5,3 Margaret Ann Holley died on 22 August 1919 at Granby, Shefford Co., QC, Canada, at age 68.⁶

     As of 4 January 1900,her married name was Ellis.¹

     Maud Gertrude Ball was born on 26 September 1883.¹ She was the daughter of Lewis L. Ball and Adella J. Searles.¹ Maud Gertrude Ball died on 9 January 1898 at age 14.¹

     Wiley B. Sherman was born on 9 July 1875 at NY.^2,3 He was the son of George J. Sherman and Urania U. Botsford.² Wiley B. Sherman married Anna E. Ball, daughter of Albert Henry Ball and Martha Jane Thayer, circa 1897.²
     Wiley B. Sherman registered for Selective Service on 12 September 1918. His residence was Cattaraugus, Cattaraugus Co., NY. He was a farmer on his father's farm. He was of medium height and build with blue eyes and gray hair.³

     Henry C. Berg was born in July 1872 at NY.¹ He married Floy I. Ball, daughter of Lucius D. Ball and Sylviaette Ballard, circa 1895.²
