Russell on 25 October 1878 at Grant Co., WI.5,6 Orange Ball married third Mary J. McArthur, daughter of John McArthur and Mary Miller, on 26 February 1895 at Cheboygan Co., MI.7 Orange Ball died on 15 August 1907 at Cheboygan Co., MI, at age 72.3 He was buried at Family lot, Perry, Lake Co., OH.3
     He served in the Civil War and enlisted on 5 October 1861 at OH. His Civil War record included: service as a Private in the 6th Cavalry Regiment, Ohio. His regiment fought in many battles in Virginia and Maryland. He mustered out 5 October 1864 as a Captain.3
