     From an obituary: Keith E. Piersal, a beloved father, grandfather and husband, died March21, 2005, in Dallas, Texas, after a heroic struggle with cancer. He was born September 5, 1938, in Camden, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Air Force, was a licensed auctioneer, longtime sales manager for Multi-Plate Inc.and part-time dealer for Vegas Image Casino Company. He loved golf, poker and the Dallas Mavericks.      He and his mother ran the Sanborn Store in Remsen for several years after the death of his aunt, Ida Owen Sanborn.¹

     Mildred Melva Pugh was born on 13 May 1917 at Steuben, Oneida Co., NY.¹ She was the daughter of John Richard Pugh and Anna Lydia Owen.¹ Mildred Melva Pugh married Howard Nealand Carrier, son of Ansel John Carrier and Grace May Anson, on 16 November 1940 at North Western, Oneida Co., NY.¹ Mildred Melva Pugh died on 20 August 2001 at Boonville, Oneida Co., NY, at age 84.¹ She was buried on 23 August 2001 at Townsend Cemetery, Stittville, Oneida Co., NY.¹
     As of 16 November 1940,her married name was Carrier. From an obituary: Mildred M. Carrier, 84, formerly of Trenton Falls Rd., passed away Monday, August 20, 2001 in Sunset Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born May 13, 1917 in Steuben, the daughter of Richard and Anna Owen Pugh. She was a graduate of Remsen High School and Utica School of Commerce. Mildred was united in marriage to Howard Carrier on November16, 1940, in Westernville. He passed away in March 1994. She had been employed for the Holland Patent School system for 20 years, retiring in 1982. She was of the Methodist faith. Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Roberta and Doc Sgambellone, Canastota; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Neal and Sarah Carrier, Floyd, and Beryl Carrier, Trenton Falls; a brother, Beryl Pugh, Holland Patent; two daughters-in-law, Judith Carrier, Whitesboro and Pamela Carrier, Trenton Falls; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by five sisters, Gladys Davies, Myrtle Salmon, Evelyn Prosser, Shirley and Geraldine Pugh; eight brothers, Sherwood, Kenneth, Harold, Merwin, Karly, Lyle, Ralph and Gardner.¹

     Scott Wesley Pugh is the son of Wesley Merwin Pugh and Sonya Seidel.¹
