Barker, son of Samuel Barker and Elizabeth Strait, on 25 February 1858 at Fairfield Co., OH.³ Nancy Emeline Palmer died on 19 April 1927 at Franklin, Mercer Co., OH, at age 94.¹ She was buried at North Grove Cemetery, Celina, Jefferson, Mercer Co., OH.¹

     Comment by DGB: Lewis was not listed as living with Jonathan Palmer on the 1840 census and this may suggest that he, as with Sarah M. listed on the 1850 census, was a grandchild. End of comment.

     Comment by DGB: There was a female living with Jonathan and Nancy Palmer age 0-9 in 1820 and 20-29 in 1830, but not present in 1840 that has been assumed to have been Elizabeth with a birth circa 1810 to cover both ranges. Nancy (Dundon) Palmer's will gave token amounts ($1.20 to $1.23) to each living child or to the surviving spouse of each or in the one case to an orphan grandchild. All of these connections have been identified except for Hugh Love, who was potentially the spouse of Elizabeth (who would have to have been deceased before 1862 for a spouse to have been paid the inheritance). Palmer married Margaret Ann Hovermill circa 1840.^2,3 William M. Palmer married Ann Elizabeth Sperry, daughter of Peter Sperry.² William M.
