     William Ball was born circa 1801 at NY.² He was the son of William Ball and Phebe Ann Bement.¹ William Ball married Rachel Beach.¹ William Ball died in July 1868 at Victor, NY.¹

     Rachel Beach was born circa 1808 at NY.² She married William Ball, son of William Ball and Phebe Ann Bement.¹ Rachel Beach died on 26 March 1879.¹
     Her married name was Ball.¹

     Thomas B. Ball was the son of William Ball and Rachel Beach.¹

     Mary E. Ball was born circa 1830 at NY.¹ She was the daughter of William Ball and Rachel Beach.¹

     Lewis Ball was born on 15 November 1837 at MA.^2,3 He was the son of Jonas Ball and Eliza Reed.¹ Lewis Ball married Mary Firnhaber on 6 February 1869 at Chicago, Cook Co., IL.² Lewis Ball died on 1 May 1891 at age 53.²
     Lewis Ball served in the 13th regiment Illinois infantry from 24 May 1861 until 18 June 1864. He attained rank of corporal.²

     Susan (????) was born circa 1825 at PA.¹ She married David Ball, son of James Ball and Rebecca Shattuck, in November 1847.¹
     As of November 1847,her married name was Ball.¹

     George F. Ball was born circa 1855 at OR.¹ He was the son of David Ball and Susan (????)¹

     Samantha (????) was born circa 1831 at NY.² She married Hiram Ball, son of David T. Ball and Lucy Belding, circa 1850.²

     John Ball was born on 27 June 1789 at Concord, Essex Co., VT.² He was the son of Joseph Ball and Susannah Forbes.³ John Ball married Eusebia Judervine on 11 April 1815 at Charlestown, Sullivan Co., NH.⁴ John Ball died on 16 January 1863 at Monroe Co., MI, at age 73.⁵ He was buried at Rice Cemetery, Cone, Monroe Co., MI.⁶
     There are markers in the New London Sick Benefit Society Cemetery at Chesterfield, New London Co., CT, for John Ball and Eusebia Judervine.      Eusebia Judervine was born circa 1794 at NH.² She married John Ball, son of Joseph Ball and Susannah Forbes, on 11 April 1815 at Charlestown, Sullivan Co., NH.³ Eusebia Judervine died on 28 October 1858 at Milan, Monroe Co., MI.⁴ She was buried at Rice Cemetery, Cone, Monroe Co., MI.⁵

     Moses Ball was born on 17 May 1823 at Littleton, Essex Co., VT.¹ He was the son of John Ball and Eusebia Judervine.¹ Moses Ball married Eveline Wilber, daughter of Lyman S. Wilber and Sarah Foster, on 28 June 1851 at Milan, Monroe Co., MI.¹ Moses Ball died on 13 November 1913 at Milan, Monroe Co., MI, at age 90.² He was buried at Rice Cemetery, Cone, Monroe Co., MI.³
     From a newspaper clipping: Milan, Mich., June 9 - Mr. and Mrs. Moses Ball, who have been residents of this village since 1896, celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary at their home here today by the gathering of their 11 children, 28 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Ten years ago Mr. and Mrs. Ball celebrated their golden wedding in the same old home here.
     Mr. Ball was born in Littleton, Essex County, Vermont, May 17, 1823, coming to Michigan in 1834 by way of Erie canal to Buffalo and then by water landing at Monroe. When 18 years old he bought what is known as the Cone farm, four and a half miles southwest of this village, but at that time, of course, Milan was not on the map.
     At the age of 28 he married Miss Eveline Wilber, who was born in New York state in the year 1835. They have raised a large family, 14 in all, nine boys and five girls, 11 of whom are present at the festivities here today. The oldest is 57 years of age and the youngest 31.
     Mr. and Mrs. Ball are well and hearty and still able to work. Last fall Mr. Ball cut 23 cords of wood, and he also takes care of a large garden, which is always noted as being the earliest in town; while Mrs. Ball does her own work and is as hale and hearty as some of her grandchildren.⁴      Left photo courtesy of Emerson Ball of Howell MI.
