Moses Ayers Riddle was born circa 1786 at MD.1 He married Mary Ball, daughter of Mathew Ball and Ruth (????), on 11 February 1806 at Allegany Co., MD.1 Moses Ayers Riddle died in 1847 at Noble Co., OH.1
In 1816 Moses and Mary Riddle moved to Mississippi, raised a crop and gathered it. The Indians there became very hostile and they were compelled to leave everything they had. They came to Ashland, Ohio, where he entered 160 acres of land. In 1820 the family removed to the vicinity of Sarahsville, Noble County, Ohio and thence to Middleburg, where Moses was elected Justice of the Peace. The location not being a satisfactory one, the family returned to Ashland, Ohio, entered eighty acres of land, and in 1841 returned to Noble County, Ohio, and, after several changes, settled near Fulda, where he lived until he died.1
