     Susan Ball was born on 8 March 1812 at Camptown, Essex Co., NJ.^1,2 She was the daughter of Ezekiel Ball and Polly Headly.¹ Susan Ball married Davis Headley, son of Davis Headley and Joanna Townley, on 3 March 1830 at NJ.³ Susan Ball died on 6 December 1878 at age 66.⁴
     As of 3 March 1830,her married name was Headley. She was in her father's will in 1858.⁴

     Davis Headley was born on 10 October 1807 at Essex Co., NJ.² He was the son of Davis Headley and Joanna Townley.^1,2 Davis Headley married Susan Ball, daughter of Ezekiel Ball and Polly Headly, on 3 March 1830 at NJ.² Davis Headley died on 7 May 1881 at Essex Co., NJ, at age 73.²

     Hannah Brown was born on 13 May 1772.¹ She was the daughter of Eleazer Brown and Mary Bruen.¹ Hannah Brown married Israel Ball, son of Joseph Ball and Rachel Tompkins, on 25 April 1793.¹ Hannah Brown died on 19 May 1861 at age 89.¹

     Harmon Ball was born circa 1799 at Essex Co., NJ.¹ He was the son of Israel Ball and Hannah Brown.¹ Harmon Ball married Anna Maria Rudalfous in 1818 at Holy Trinity Church, Philadelphia, PA.¹
     Harmon Ball was a member of the guard serving aboard a ship in port at Pensacola, FL in July 1843. His stated occupation was a soldier. He was mustered into the New Jersey Volunteers in August 1847 and was First Sargent of Captain Pierson's Company. He met a tragic death, shot by a sentinel, in Mexico and is buried there.¹ In some correspondence found in his pension file his son Joseph Leroy Ball stated that Harmon was working in New York in 1850, but his family was still living in Philadelphia.¹

     Eleazer Brown married Mary Bruen on 7 April 1771.¹
