     Margaret Emmaline Robbins was born on 19 January 1839 at Decatur Co., IN.^3,2 She was the daughter of William Franklin Robbins and Melvina Myers.⁴ Margaret Emmaline Robbins married Isaac Ball, son of Asel Franklin Ball and Rebecca Ellis, on 8 June 1856.¹ Margaret Emmaline Robbins died on 2 June 1928 at Washington Co., OR, at age 89.⁵ She was buried at Winona Cemetery, Tualatin, Washington Co., OR.²
     As of 8 June 1856,her married name was Ball. From an obituary in the "Oregon Sunday Journal": At her home in Tualatin, June 2, Margaret E. Ball, age 89 yrs., mother of Mrs. S. G. Markham of Cottage Grove, Or; Charles E. Ball of Long Beach, Cal; Mrs. Dave Turner of Dayton, Wash; Mrs. George Martin of Sherwood, Or; and sister of Geo. Robbins, Antimissa Thompson, Melissa Cauffman, all of Stafford, Or; and Adeline Ball of Aurora, Or.⁶

     Edwin Nathan Ball was born on 30 January 1830 at Fulton Co., IL.^1,2 He was the son of Asel Franklin Ball and Rebecca Ellis.¹ Edwin Nathan Ball married Nancy Jane Armstrong, daughter of Zenas Armstrong and Magdalen Knox, on 16 June 1855 at Randolph Co., IL.³ Edwin Nathan Ball died on 7 February 1906 at Whiting, Jackson Co., KS, at age 76.⁴ He was buried at Netawaka Cemetery, Netawaka, Jackson Co., KS.⁵

     Nancy Jane Armstrong was born on 8 January 1837 at Randolph Co., IL.^2,3 She was the daughter of Zenas Armstrong and Magdalen Knox.³ Nancy Jane Armstrong married Edwin Nathan Ball, son of Asel Franklin Ball and Rebecca Ellis, on 16 June 1855 at Randolph Co., IL.⁴ Nancy Jane Armstrong died on 10 July 1909 at Whiting, Jackson Co., KS, at age 72.³ She was buried at Netawaka Cemetery, Netawaka, Jackson Co., KS.³

     Larkin Ball was born on 16 April 1832 at Rockwood, Randolph Co., IL.¹ He was the son of Asel Franklin Ball and Rebecca Ellis.¹ Larkin Ball married Nancy Adeline Robbins, daughter of William Franklin Robbins and Melvina Myers, on 8 December 1861 at Tualatin, Washington Co., OR.¹ Larkin Ball died on 9 September 1913 at Tualatin, Washington Co., OR, at age 81.¹ He was buried at Winona Cemetery, Washington Co., OR.²
     Larkin Ball migrated to Texas where he enlisted in the army on 24 December 1854 for service in the Comanche Indian War along the Mexican border. Five days later, Larkin was assigned to active duty as a corporal in Captain William Fitzhugh's Company D of the Mounted Battalion of Texas Volunteers. he was mustered out of military service with his company during the latter part of 1855.      As of 8 December 1861,her married name was Ball.

     Nancy Jane Ball was born circa 1835 at IL.² She was the daughter of Asel Franklin Ball and Rebecca Ellis.¹ Nancy Jane Ball married Russell Gray, son of William Gray and Nancy Angelina Spears, on 27 January 1855 at Randolph Co., IL.³ Nancy Jane Ball died before 1860 at IL.
     As of 27 January 1855,her married name was Gray.³

     Elizabeth Ball was born circa 1840 at IL.² She was the daughter of Asel Franklin Ball and Elizabeth Wilson.^1,2 Elizabeth Ball married William Armstrong on 13 October 1853.¹
     Comment by DGB: There is a family of William Armstrong on the 1860 census for Township 8 Range 5 that might be this family, but would indicate that Elizabeth had died by then. The family has William Armstrong with daughters "Delia" 4 and "Malissa" 2 living with his mother "Delia" and her second husband Alexander Barber. This family is found on the 1870 census at the same location with William M. Armstrong and daughters "Daily H." 14 and "Mellissa J." 12 living with "Daily E. Barber". There was a marriage record in Randolph Co. IL 1841 (and again in 1842) between Alexander Barber and Daily Armstrong. There is still the problem of Elizabeth Ball, according to the 1850 census, having been born about 1840 and her marriage record for 1853 to William Armstrong, since she would have only be 13 or 14 at the time of her wedding. End of comment. As of 13 October 1853,her married name was Armstrong.

     William Armstrong married Elizabeth Ball, daughter of Asel Franklin Ball and Elizabeth Wilson, on 13 October 1853.¹

     George Henry Ball was born on 7 September 1845 at Rockwood, Randolph Co., IL.^1,2 He was the son of Asel Franklin Ball and Elizabeth Wilson.^1,3 George Henry Ball married Julie Ann Miracle, daughter of John Miracle and Elzira Neal O'Daniel, on 13 September 1865 at Jackson Co., IL; "George W. Ball" and "Julia M. Mericle."⁴ George Henry Ball died on 3 January 1874 at Rockwood, Randolph Co., IL, at age 28.¹ He was buried at Ebenezer Cemetery, near Rockwood, Randolph Co., IL.¹
     At the rank of Corporal, George Ball was wounded April 6 or 7, 1862 during the Battle of Shiloh. A gun shot ball entered the right side of his face just at at the lower part of the cheek bone and left the body near the base of the neck. His physical condition slowly deteriorated until his death nearly 12 years later.¹

     Julie Ann Miracle was born circa 1850 at IL.² She was the daughter of John Miracle and Elzira Neal O'Daniel.¹ Julie Ann Miracle married George Henry Ball, son of Asel Franklin Ball and Elizabeth Wilson, on 13 September 1865 at Jackson Co., IL; "George W. Ball" and "Julia M. Mericle."³ Julie Ann Miracle married Ignatuis Vonier on 16 April 1874 at Jackson, Lawrence Co., IL.¹ Julie Ann Miracle married Robert C. Thompson, son of James Cyrus Thompson and Cynthia Trammel, on 17 December 1893 at Jackson, Lawrence Co., IL.¹
     As of 13 September 1865,her married name was Ball. As of 16 April 1874,her married name was Vonier. As of 17 December 1893,her married name was Thompson.¹

     Franklin Isaac Ball was born on 14 March 1847 at Rockwood, Randolph Co., IL.¹ He was the son of Asel Franklin Ball and Elizabeth Wilson.^1,2 Franklin Isaac Ball married Margaret Ann Dean, daughter of James Dean and Anna E. Charles, on 13 October 1870 at Randolph Co., IL.³ Franklin Isaac Ball died on 22 January 1888 at Rockwood, Randolph Co., IL, at age 40.¹ He was buried at Ebenezer Memorial Cemetery, Rockwood, Randolph Co., IL.⁴

     Margaret Ann Dean was born on 8 February 1851 at Rockwood, Randolph Co., IL.³ She was the daughter of James Dean and Anna E. Charles.¹ Margaret Ann Dean married Franklin Isaac Ball, son of Asel Franklin Ball and Elizabeth Wilson, on 13 October 1870 at Randolph Co., IL.⁴ Margaret Ann Dean died on 1 February 1929 at IL at age 77.^1,5 She was buried at Ebenezer Memorial Cemetery, Rockwood, Randolph Co., IL.⁵
     As of 13 October 1870,her married name was Ball.

     James Dean was born circa 1810 at MA.¹ He married Anna E. Charles.¹

     Malissa Sarah Ball was born on 18 March 1873 at Rockwood, Randolph Co., IL.^3,4 She was the daughter of Franklin Isaac Ball and Margaret Ann Dean.¹ Malissa Sarah Ball married Sherman Smith, son of Levi Smith and Belinda Garrett, on 6 April 1893 at Jackson Co., IL.⁵ Malissa Sarah Ball died on 23 April 1937 at Randolph Co., IL, at age 64.⁴ She was buried on 25 April 1937 at New Palestine Cemetery, Randolph Co., IL.⁴
     As of 6 April 1893,her married name was Smith.⁵

     Phoebe Anne Ball was born on 3 April 1875 at Randolph Co., IL.^3,2 She was the daughter of Franklin Isaac Ball and Margaret Ann Dean.¹ Phoebe Anne Ball married Robert G. Morgan, son of Enoch Morgan and Elender King, on 8 August 1895 at Jackson Co., IL; "Pheob."⁴ Phoebe Anne Ball died on 17 March 1945 at Murphysboro, Jackson Co., IL, at age 69.² She was buried at Degognia, Jackson Co., IL.²
     As of 8 August 1895,her married name was Morgan.⁴

     George Hurd Ball was born on 25 October 1877 at Rockwood, Randolph Co., IL.¹ He was the son of Franklin Isaac Ball and Margaret Ann Dean.¹ George Hurd Ball married Mary Ann Schemonnic, daughter of John Schemonnic and Anna Korando, on 13 February 1901 at Dravesville, Rockwood, Randolph Co., IL.¹ George Hurd Ball died on 8 September 1942 at Chester, Randolph Co., IL, at age 64.¹ He was buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Chester, Randolph Co., IL.¹

     William Harvey Ball was born on 9 January 1881 at Rockwood, Randolph Co., IL.¹ He was the son of Franklin Isaac Ball and Margaret Ann Dean.² William Harvey Ball died in November 1966 at age 85.²

     Albert Edward Ball was born on 1 August 1883 at Degognia, Jackson Co., IL.² He was the son of Franklin Isaac Ball and Margaret Ann Dean.¹

     Bertha Ellen Ball was born in August 1885 at IL.^1,2 She was the daughter of Franklin Isaac Ball and Margaret Ann Dean.¹ Bertha Ellen Ball married Wintfred M. Hardy, son of J. F. Hardy and Eliza King, on 19 October 1907 at Randolph Co., IL.³
     As of 19 October 1907,her married name was Hardy.³

     Pearl Ida Ball was born in February 1888 at IL; Note: while the census lists the birth year as 1889, because her father died in January 1888 it is more likely that the year was 1888.² She was the daughter of Franklin Isaac Ball and Margaret Ann Dean.¹ Pearl Ida Ball married G. C. Choate on 28 April 1907 at Jackson Co., IL.³
     As of 28 April 1907,her married name was Choate.³

     Mary Ann Schemonnic was born on 22 August 1878 at Rockwood, Randolph Co., IL.² She was the daughter of John Schemonnic and Anna Korando.² Mary Ann Schemonnic married George Hurd Ball, son of Franklin Isaac Ball and Margaret Ann Dean, on 13 February 1901 at Dravesville, Rockwood, Randolph Co., IL.² Mary Ann Schemonnic died on 24 January 1938 at Chester, Randolph Co., IL, at age 59.² She was buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Chester, Randolph Co., IL.²

Fields and Lexa Morgan, circa 1922.^1,3 Estella Ball died on 24 February 1998 at Muscogee, Muscogee Co., GA, at age 92.¹ She was buried on 4 March 1998 at Little Rock National Cemetery, Little Rock, Pulaski Co., AR.¹
