Austin and Margaret Ann Tompkins, on 27 January 1901 at Peekskill, Westchester Co., NY.⁴ Mabel Ball died on 19 April 1909 at Peekskill, Westchester Co., NY, at age 28.⁴

     Samuel Llewellyn Markham was born on 7 March 1898 at OR.^2,3 He was the son of Llewellyn G. Markham and Daisy Alice Ball.² Samuel Llewellyn Markham married Victoria Josephine Zendron, daughter of Benjamino Bortolameo Zendron and Katherine Gerstner, on 30 December 1931 at Eugene, Lane Co., OR.^4,5,6 Samuel Llewellyn Markham died on 26 February 1988 at Cottage Grove, Lane Co., OR, at age 89.^3,6 He was buried at Echo Memorial Cemetery, Echo, Umatilla Co., OR.³
     From an obituary in the Eugene OR "Register Guard": Samuel Llewellyn Markham passed away after a lenghtly illness at his home February 26, 1988. He was born March 7, 1898, at Umatilla, Oregon. Parents, Llewellyn G. and Daisy Ball Markham. He was a grandson of early 1850's pioneers Isaac Ball and Samuel Llewellyn Markham. He moved to the Hebron area at age 15. He married Victoria Zendron Hamill December 30, 1931, in Eugene, Oregon. He was a student of Tex Rankins, flying his WWI surplus JN4 (Jenny) off the family cow pasture on Goddard Lane and barnstorming the state on the 4th of July celebration in the early 20's. He was an avid Colt and Winchester collector and was well known for his gun-smitting and walnut stock making capabilities. He had made his living on the lfumes in the woods and mills of the Cottage Grove area.
     He is survived by his wife, Victoria, his children: Llewellyn B. Markham, and Sheila Barrong of Cottage Grove, and Jacqueline Buskirk of Lake Oswego, his grandchildren Laura Summers of Wilsonville, D. Douglas Summers of Grants Pass, Bradley and Michale Markham, Susan (Mrs. Steve Ramey), Rachael and John Barrong all of Cottage Grove, Vaughn and (Mrs. Ernest Blethen) of Marysville, Washington, also, eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Leona Golden.⁷

     Ada Orena Ball was born on 27 January 1873 at Fort Simcoe, Yakima Co., Washington Territory.^1,3,2,4 She was the daughter of Larkin Ball and Nancy Adeline Robbins.¹ Ada Orena Ball married Aaron McConnell, son of Nelson McConnell and Eliza Eveline Tuckness, circa 1898.³ Ada Orena Ball died on 22 September 1971 at Washougal, Clark Co., WA, at age 98.^2,4 She was buried at Winona Cemetery, Tualatin, Washington Co., OR.⁵
     As of circa 1898,her married name was McConnell.³

     Vernon Montaville Ball was born on 13 October 1878 at OR.^2,1 He was the son of Larkin Ball and Nancy Adeline Robbins.² Vernon Montaville Ball died on 17 March 1915 at Washington Co., OR, at age 36.^1,3 He was buried at Winona Cemetery, Tualatin, Washington Co., OR.⁴
