Parents, Llewellyn G. and Daisy Ball Markham. He was a grandson of early 1850's pioneers Isaac Ball and Samuel Llewellyn Markham. He moved to the Hebron area at age 15. He married Victoria Zendron Hamill December 30, 1931, in Eugene, Oregon. He was a student of Tex Rankins, flying his WWI surplus JN4 (Jenny) off the family cow pasture on Goddard Lane and barnstorming the state on the 4th of July celebration in the early 20's. He was an avid Colt and Winchester collector and was well known for his gun-smitting and walnut stock making capabilities. He had made his living on the lfumes in the woods and mills of the Cottage Grove area.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria, his children: Llewellyn B. Markham, and Sheila Barrong of Cottage Grove, and Jacqueline Buskirk of Lake Oswego, his grandchildren Laura Summers of Wilsonville, D. Douglas Summers of Grants Pass, Bradley and Michale Markham, Susan (Mrs. Steve Ramey), Rachael and John Barrong all of Cottage Grove, Vaughn and (Mrs. Ernest Blethen) of Marysville, Washington, also, eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Leona Golden.7
