Varney and Frances Elizabeth Foss.² Jeffrey Richard Varney died on 4 September 2009 at Bangor, Penobscot Co., ME, at age 60.¹ He was buried on 12 September 2009 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Lubec, Washington Co., ME.¹
     From an obituary in the "Bangor Daily News": Jeffrey Richard Varney, 60, died unexpectedly Sept. 4, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. He was born April 26, 1949, in Machias, son of Kenneth and Frances (Foss) Varney. He is survived by two sons, Larry and Brandon; two brothers, Steven and Robert "Bobby"; grandchildren, Crystal, Tyler and Mallory; a great-granddaughter, Kayla; and his previous wife, Wanda (Lingley). He was predeceased by his parents. Graveside memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Greenlawn Cemetery, Lubec.¹
