     Worthington Gregory was born on 29 November 1840 at Sand Lake, Rensselaer Co., NY.² He was the son of John Ely Gregory and Jane Briggs Barber.² Worthington Gregory married Emma Janette Ball, daughter of John Pratt Ball and Nancy Slocum, on 23 July 1861.¹ Worthington Gregory died on 2 June 1919 at Brooklyn, Kings Co., NY, at age 78.²

     Hiram M. Bouton married Adelade P. Ball, daughter of John Pratt Ball and Nancy Slocum, on 20 October 1868.¹

     Jane A. Capron was born circa 1825 at Winchester, Cheshire Co., NH.^2,3 She was the daughter of John Capron and Persis Hawkins.⁴ Jane A. Capron married Alvin Whitmore Ball, son of Stephen Ball and Elizabeth Weld, on 5 November 1845.¹ Jane A. Capron died on 14 June 1854.^5,6 She was buried at Tufts Cemetery, Winchester, Cheshire Co., NH.⁶

     John Prescott Ball was born on 29 June 1853 at Winchester, Cheshire Co., NH.^1,2 He was the son of Alvin Whitmore Ball and Jane A. Capron.¹ John Prescott Ball married Martha B. Clark, daughter of Eli Clark and Mary Ann Moseley, on 26 August 1890 at Roxbury, Cheshire Co., NH.^1,3 John Prescott Ball died on 24 November 1921 at Winchester, Cheshire Co., NH, at age 68.² He was buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Winchester, Cheshire Co., NH.³
     John Prescott Ball began life as a clerk for Wright Wood. In 1877 he became associated with J. E. Felch in conducting a general store in Ashuelot. Seven years later he went to Ansonia, Conn., where he was for a time engaged in the hardware business with his brother-in-law, Fred E. Carpenter. Then, returning to Winchester, he became a member of the firm of Taylor & Ball, who continued in business for a year and a half. In February, 1889, W. D. Ripley purchased Mr. Taylor's interest; and the firm of Ball & Ripley have since carried on a flourishing wholesale and retail business, dealing in flour, grain, feed, hardware, groceries, paints, oils, etc.⁴

     Mary E. Emerson was born in July 1826 at NH.² She was the daughter of Daniel I. Emerson and Mary S. Oldham.^1,3 Mary E. Emerson married Homer Ramsdell say 1846.³ Mary E. Emerson married Alvin Whitmore Ball, son of Stephen Ball and Elizabeth Weld, on 20 December 1857.⁴ Mary E. Emerson died on 20 April 1913 at age 86.³ She was buried at Tufts Cemetery, Winchester, Cheshire Co., NH.³
     As of say 1846,her married name was Ramsdell. As of 20 December 1857,her married name was Ball.

     Benjamin Franklin Ball was born on 10 January 1861 at Winchester, Cheshire Co., NH.² He was the son of Alvin Whitmore Ball and Mary E. Emerson.¹ Benjamin Franklin Ball died on 10 April 1864 at Winchester, Cheshire Co., NH, at age 3.² He was buried at Tufts Cemetery, Winchester, Cheshire Co., NH; "Frank B. Ball."²

     Florence Emerson Ball was born on 13 July 1866 at Winchester, Cheshire Co., NH.² She was the daughter of Alvin Whitmore Ball and Mary E. Emerson.¹ Florence Emerson Ball married Fred Emes Carpenter, son of Joseph Carpenter and Elmira Martin, on 8 June 1888 at Ashuelot, Cheshire Co., NH.^1,3 Florence Emerson Ball married George Cutler, son of George Cutler and Frances Gaylord, on 20 September 1922 at Winchester, Cheshire Co., NH.^1,3 Florence Emerson Ball died on 11 December 1953 at Amherst, Hampshire Co., MA, at age 87.² She was buried at West Cemetery, Amherst, Hampshire Co., MA.²

     George Cutler was born on 30 July 1862 at Amherst, Hampshire Co., MA; unnamed on birth record.^2,3,4 He was the son of George Cutler and Frances Gaylord.³ George Cutler married Florence Emerson Ball, daughter of Alvin Whitmore Ball and Mary E. Emerson, on 20 September 1922 at Winchester, Cheshire Co., NH.^1,2 George Cutler died on 24 August 1947 at age 85.⁵ He was buried at West Cemetery, Amherst, Hampshire Co., MA.⁵

     Harriet Holman Haywood was born on 5 July 1827 at NH.² She was the daughter of Alpheus Haywood and Lucretia Holman.¹ Harriet Holman Haywood married David Ball, son of David Ball and Elizabeth Rice, on 24 June 1847 at Athol, Worcester Co., MA.² Harriet Holman Haywood died on 25 May 1923 at age 95.¹ She was buried at Warwick Cemetery, Warwick, Franklin Co., MA.¹
