Ball.¹ Charles Shepard Mann married Elizabeth (????)² Charles Shepard Mann died on 20 July 1912 at Medway, Norfolk Co., MA, at age 65.² He was buried at Evergreen Cemetery, West Medway, Norfolk Co., MA.²

     Daniel Ball was born circa 1744. He married Hannah (????)¹ Daniel Ball died on 20 December 1825 at Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT. He was buried at Mount Riga Cemetery, Litchfield Co., CT.²
     Comment by DGB: There is a theory that Daniel was the son of a James Ball, who was born say 1716 or so in England and died in Salisbury CT. That James Ball is proposed to have had three sons, Daniel, Moses and Joseph. Apparently this theory goes back to at least an 1897 manuscript by one Burton O. Holden ("Family Record of the Ball Family"). However, DNA testing of a descendant of Daniel's branch presents strong evidence that Daniel was a direct descendant of John Ball and Elizabeth Pierce of Watertown MA and not the son of the more recent English immigrant James Ball. Best option (but with zero evidence to support it) would be the Daniel Ball born 1742 at Holden MA, son of Phinehas Ball and Martha Bixby. End of comment.
     Extracted from the "Records of the Ministerial offices of the Rev. Gideon Bostwick A.M.": "Tockonoch Mountain baptized Betsa, Erastus, Elijah, Danll & Silvester, sons and dr. of Danll Ball & Hannah his wife." Comment by DGB: Note that this was four months before the birth date of the son Sylvester that married Sally Muffin and excludes both sons John and Peter that were still living. End of comment.³

     Elijah Ball was born circa 1771 at Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT.² He was the son of Daniel Ball and Hannah (????)¹ Elijah Ball was baptized on 14 June 1784 at St. James Episcopal Church, Great Barrington, Berkshire Co., MA.³ He married Esther Bird say 1788.¹ Elijah Ball died on 30 September 1826 at Conneaut, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹

     Esther Bird was born circa 1771 at Salisbury, Litchfield Co., CT.¹ She married Elijah Ball, son of Daniel Ball and Hannah (????), say 1788.¹ Esther Bird died in 1828 at Geneva, OH.²
     As of say 1788,her married name was Ball.

     George Gillett Phelps was born on 11 February 1870 at Girard, Erie Co., PA.¹ He was the son of James Orlando Phelps and Mary Elizabeth Gillett.¹ George Gillett Phelps married Lila Ann Woodworth, daughter of Lathrop Woodworth and Josephine L. Blake, on 25 September 1895 at Ashtabula Co., OH.² George Gillett Phelps died on 6 April 1932 at Washington, DC, at age 62.¹ He was buried on 8 April 1932 at Rock Creek Cemetery, Washington, DC.¹

     Lila Ann Woodworth was born on 14 January 1876 at Conneant, Ashtabula Co., OH.² She was the daughter of Lathrop Woodworth and Josephine L. Blake.¹ Lila Ann Woodworth married George Gillett Phelps, son of James Orlando Phelps and Mary Elizabeth Gillett, on 25 September 1895 at Ashtabula Co., OH.² Lila Ann Woodworth died on 25 June 1935 at Washington, DC, at age 59.¹ She was buried on 27 June 1935 at Rock Creek Cemetery, Washington, DC.¹
     As of 25 September 1895,her married name was Phelps.

     Lempi D. Toikkanen was born on 9 November 1914 at PA.¹ She married Boyd F. Woodworth, son of Fred Upson Woodworth and Elzada M. Andrews, on 20 February 1946 at Ashtabula Co., OH.² Lempi D. Toikkanen died on 11 January 1999 at Ashtabula, Ashtabula Co., OH, at age 84.¹

     Roland M. Palmer was born in February 1848 at Conneaut, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹ He married Mary Ellen Woodworth, daughter of Elijah Woodworth and Sarah Ferris, circa 1870.² Roland M. Palmer died on 11 December 1933 at Conneaut, Ashtabula Co., OH, at age 85.¹
