D. 1812", it is more likely that he was born a month eariler on June 22, 1812, the same day of the death of his father's first wife, Hannah (Pierce) Ball. End of comment.2 He was the son of John Ball and Hannah Pierce.1 John Ball married Harriet Blake on 9 September 1833.1 John Ball died on 29 April 1885 at Unionville, OH, at age 72.1 He was buried at Monroe Street Cemetery, Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., OH.3
