     Nellie Mariah Ball was born on 12 January 1875 at Black River Falls, Jackson Co., WI.¹ She was the daughter of William Orville Ball and Celestia C. Hall.² Nellie Mariah Ball married Charles Freeman on 14 December 1889 at Superior, Douglas Co., WI.³ Nellie Mariah Ball married Seth O. Ball, son of Nelson Matthew Ball and Sarah C. Tiffany, on 16 December 1897 at Lake Benton, Lincoln Co., MN.³

     William Horace Ball was born on 31 January 1877 at Black River Falls, Jackson Co., WI.³ He was the son of William Orville Ball and Celestia C. Hall.¹ William Horace Ball married Lenora Roxy Van Buskirk, daughter of John Van Buskirk and Elizabeth Perry, on 15 December 1897 at Black River Falls, Jackson Co., WI.^4,5 William Horace Ball died on 3 July 1916 at Beach, Golden Valley Co., ND, at age 39; There was a murder trial alleging that a stick of dynamite was used to blow up the worksite shed Mr. Ball was sleeping in, but the accused was acquitted due to lack of sufficient evidence. Mr. Ball's wife was rumored to have had a relationship with the accused, but chose to leave town rather than to testify at the trial and never disclosed what she may have known.⁶
     From an obituary in the "Beach Progress", Beach ND: Horace William Ball was born at Black River Falls, Wis., January 31, 1877, the son of William O. and Celestia Ball. He spent his early years at that place and was married to Miss Nora Van Buskirk December 15, 1897 at Black River Falls. Seven years ago he moved to Beach and for six year lived on his homestead with his family 25 miles northeast of Beach. He was a mason by trade and was emplyed on the J. P. Reeve building just previous to his untimely death. He leaves to mourn his demise, his wife and three daughters, Doris, Vera and Vernona; also two brothers, Albert, of Sparta, Wis; and Edward of Melrose, Wis; and two sisters, Nellie Ball of Los Angeles, Cal; and Mable Hopkins, of Idaho.⁴      Photo courtesy of Helen Neuman of Ellensburg WA.⁴

Hall, circa 1889.³ Thomas Richard Hopkins died on 13 April 1940 at CA at age 71.¹ He was buried at Shiloh Cemetery, Windsor, Sonoma Co., CA.⁴

     Lenora Roxy Van Buskirk was born in May 1880 at WI.² She was the daughter of John Van Buskirk and Elizabeth Perry.³ Lenora Roxy Van Buskirk married William Horace Ball, son of William Orville Ball and Celestia C. Hall, on 15 December 1897 at Black River Falls, Jackson Co., WI.^4,5 Lenora Roxy Van Buskirk married Helmer Hegg on 30 August 1918 at Seattle, King Co., WA.^6,7,8 Lenora Roxy Van Buskirk died in 1962 at Bellevue, King Co., WA.⁴ She was buried at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, Bellevue, King Co., WA.⁹

     Rose E. Dutcher was born circa 1887 at WI.³ She was the daughter of Riley Dutcher and Nellie Geddes.⁴ Rose E. Dutcher married Edwin Ball, son of William Orville Ball and Celestia C. Hall, circa 1903.^1,3

     Anna Marion Johnson was born on 27 December 1879 at WI.³ She was the daughter of Ever H. Johnson and Sarah M. (????)⁴ Anna Marion Johnson married Albert Ball, son of William Orville Ball and Celestia C. Hall, on 21 November 1900.^1,5 Anna Marion Johnson died on 14 July 1957 at age 77.³ She was buried at Shamrock Cemetery, Jackson Co., WI.³
     As of 21 November 1900,her married name was Ball. From an obituary: Anna Marion Johnson, daughter of Ever and Sarah Johnson, was born in the town of Little Falls, in Monroe County, Wisconsin or December 27, 1879. Her early life was lavied inor near this community. On November 21st, 1900 she was married to Albert Ball at Cataract, where they made their home for a few years, while he worked as a stone mason. Later Mr. Ball farmed in the Daneville and Shamrock communities in Monroe County. To this couple were born seven children: Edith, Mrs. L. R. Hoard, Sparta; Henry, of Eagle, Wis; Edna, Mrs. Leslie Harper, of Melrose, Wis; William, Now of Whitehall, Wis; Spencer, now of Waukegan, Ill; Erma, Mrs. John Boris of Cataract, Wisconsin; Loren of Cataract, Wis. Mrs. Ball is survived by her husband and seven children named above; by 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Amanda, now Mrs. George Gillette of Warrens, Wis.⁶

     Harvey Hopkins was born on 23 September 1891 at WI.^1,2 He was the son of Thomas Richard Hopkins and Mabel Violet Ball.¹ Harvey Hopkins married Elizabeth Wooff circa 1912.³ Harvey Hopkins and Elizabeth Wooff were divorced.⁴ Harvey Hopkins died on 23 June 1960 at Sonoma Co., CA, at age 68.⁵ He was buried at Shiloh Cemetery, Windsor, Sonoma Co., CA.²

     Clinton Thomas Hopkins was born on 6 October 1892 at Vienna, Clark Co., SD.^1,2,3 He was the son of Thomas Richard Hopkins and Mabel Violet Ball.¹ Clinton Thomas Hopkins married Susan Ellen (????) say 1922.⁴ Clinton Thomas Hopkins died on 6 July 1967 at Sonoma Co., CA, at age 74.³

     Cora Mabel Hopkins was born on 8 November 1893 at NE.^1,3 She was the daughter of Thomas Richard Hopkins and Mabel Violet Ball.¹ Cora Mabel Hopkins married Theodore Albert circa 1916.^4,5 Cora Mabel Hopkins married Savario Greco circa 1925.⁶ Cora Mabel Hopkins died on 20 October 1973 at Sacramento Co., CA, at age 79.³
     As of circa 1916,her married name was Albert. As of circa 1925,her married name was Greco.⁶

     Pearl A. Hopkins was born on 19 March 1899 at Black River Falls, Jackson Co., WI.^1,2 She was the daughter of Thomas Richard Hopkins and Mabel Violet Ball.¹ Pearl A. Hopkins died on 12 November 1982 at Visalia, Tulare Co., CA, at age 83.²

     Doris Mae Ball was born on 15 August 1898 at Black River Falls, Jackson Co., WI.^2,3,4 She was the daughter of William Horace Ball and Lenora Roxy Van Buskirk.² Doris Mae Ball married Kryn Jacob Boender, son of Kryn Boender and Adriana Bons, on 17 March 1919 at Seattle, King Co., WA.⁵ Doris Mae Ball died on 14 April 1989 at Spokane, Spokane Co., WA, at age 90.⁶ She was buried at Wenatchee City Cemetery, Wenatchee, Chelan Co., WA.⁶

     Earl LeRoy Staffon was born on 6 January 1902 at Komensky, Jackson Co., WI.¹ He was the son of Charles Staffon and Mary Elizabeth Beaser.¹ Earl LeRoy Staffon married Ferne Opal Ball, daughter of Arthur Nelson Ball and Mary Louise Bowen, on 1 October 1930 at Methodist Church, Black River Falls, Jackson Co., WI.¹

     Myrtle Engelman was born circa 1916 at Jackson Co., WI.² She was the daughter of John Engelman and Helen Crisinger.² Myrtle Engelman married William Orville Ball, son of Arthur Nelson Ball and Mary Louise Bowen, on 8 June 1938.³
