     Benjamin Ball was born circa 1677; Comment by DGB: DNA testing of descendants of Benjamin shows that he was a descendant of John Ball and Elizabeth Pierce of Watertown and Lancaster MA. Benjamin was probably the son of John Ball and Sarah Bullard (and grandson of John Ball and Elizabeth Pierce) of Watertown, Massachusetts, but this has not been proven. The only other suggested option for parents would be Eleazer Ball and Priscilla Wood, but Eleazer was the son of Nathaniel Ball of Concord MA and the male descendants of that Nathaniel have markedly different DNA patterns than for descendants of Benjamin, so Eleazer is not a viable candidate. End of comment.¹ He was the son of John Ball and Sarah Bullard. Benjamin Ball married Mary Brewer, daughter of John Brewer and Elizabeth Rice, on 29 March 1704 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA; "Mary Bruer."²
     Benjamin came to Framingham 1703, leased 44 acres of land lying on both sides of Stoney Brook from Col. Buckminster; he took deed for this land 21 January 1734. He built a house on the south side of the brook, near Bullard's bridge; this was sold 7 March 1751 to Allen Flagg of Worcester.³

     Mary Brewer was born on 17 March 1679/80 at Sudbury, Middlesex Co., MA.² She was the daughter of John Brewer and Elizabeth Rice.^1,3 Mary Brewer married Benjamin Ball, son of John Ball and Sarah Bullard, on 29 March 1704 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA; "Mary Bruer."⁴
     Mary was aunt to 3 Col. Brewer's of the Revolutionary War: Jonathan, Samuel, and David.⁵ As of 29 March 1704, Mary Brewer was also known as Mary Bruer. As of 29 March 1704,her married name was Ball.

     Abraham Ball was born on 29 December 1707 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA.² He was the son of Benjamin Ball and Mary Brewer.¹ Abraham Ball married Martha Bridges, daughter of Caleb Bridges and Sarah Brewer, on 13 January 1731/32 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA.³

     David Ball was born circa 1708.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Ball and Mary Brewer.¹ David Ball married Siballah Doe.¹ David Ball died on 3 June 1759 at Southborough, Worcester Co., MA.²

     Isaac Ball was born circa 1710.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Ball and Mary Brewer.¹ Isaac Ball married Rachel Howe, daughter of Josiah Howe and Sarah Bigelow, on 11 May 1738 at Holliston, Middlesex Co., MA.² Isaac Ball died on 21 March 1789 at Athol, Worcester Co., MA.³

     Jacob Ball was born on 28 May 1712 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA.² He was the son of Benjamin Ball and Mary Brewer.¹ Jacob Ball married Deborah Belknap, daughter of Jedidiah Belknap and Deborah Streeter, on 9 January 1748/49 at Sudbury, Middlesex Co., MA.³ Jacob Ball died before July 1790 at Canada; based on his son, Solomon, petitioning for Loyalist bounty land in right of his deceased father.⁴
     He owned an "estate" in Brookfield MA.⁵

     Thomas Ball was born on 16 August 1714 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA.² He was the son of Benjamin Ball and Mary Brewer.¹ Thomas Ball married Hannah Wright, daughter of Edward Wright and Hannah (????), on 9 February 1739/40 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA.³ Thomas Ball died in 1760 at Shrewsbury, Worcester Co., MA.⁴
     He settled in Brookfield, MA, coming from Framingham. He built saw and grist mill about 1753 on Five Mile River and owned them until his death in 1760. He was killed by being run over by a team on Shrewsbury Hill.¹

     Mary Ball was born on 11 February 1716/17 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA.² She was the daughter of Benjamin Ball and Mary Brewer.¹ Mary Ball married William Wright, son of Edward Wright and Hannah (????), on 22 January 1737/38 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA.³

     William Wright was born on 21 September 1711 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA.² He was the son of Edward Wright and Hannah (????) William Wright married Mary Ball, daughter of Benjamin Ball and Mary Brewer, on 22 January 1737/38 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA.³

     Abigail Ball was born on 16 February 1719/20 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA.² She was the daughter of Benjamin Ball and Mary Brewer.³ Abigail Ball married Simon Mellen, son of Simon Mellen and Esther Town, on 27 April 1742 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA.⁴ Abigail Ball died on 2 May 1808 at Hopkinton, Middlesex Co., MA, at age 88; "Widow", age 86.⁵
     As of 27 April 1742,her married name was Mellen.¹

     Simon Mellen was born on 10 June 1716 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA.² He was the son of Simon Mellen and Esther Town.² Simon Mellen married Abigail Ball, daughter of Benjamin Ball and Mary Brewer, on 27 April 1742 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA.³ Simon Mellen died in March 1795 at Hopkinton, Middlesex Co., MA, at age 78; "Simon Millen, an aged man."⁴

     Daniel Ball was born on 29 December 1722 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA.² He was the son of Benjamin Ball and Mary Brewer.¹ Daniel Ball married Patience Gleason, daughter of John Gleason and Abigail Learned, on 25 August 1748 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA.³ Daniel Ball died on 11 July 1801 at Spencer, Worcester Co., MA, at age 78.⁴

     Margaret Hemenway was born on 13 October 1715.² She was the daughter of Ichabod Hemenway and Margaret Brown.² Margaret Hemenway married John Ball, son of Benjamin Ball and Mary Brewer, on 29 March 1734 at Hopkinton, Middlesex Co., MA; "Margrett Hemminway" in the town record and "Margarett Hemenway" in the church record.³ Margaret Hemenway married Thomas Shaddock in 1757.²

     Abraham Ball was born on 29 May 1747 at Hopkinton, Middlesex Co., MA.² He was the son of John Ball and Margaret Hemenway.¹ Abraham Ball married Molly Hiscock on 24 May 1781 at Hopkinton, Middlesex Co., MA.³ Abraham Ball and Molly Hiscock posted marriage intentions on 22 April 1781 at Hopkinton, Middlesex Co., MA.³ Abraham Ball died on 19 January 1812 at Hopkinton, Middlesex Co., MA, at age 64.⁴

     Benjamin Ball was born on 25 October 1749 at Hopkinton, Middlesex Co., MA.² He was the son of John Ball and Margaret Hemenway.¹ Benjamin Ball married Lucy Belknap on 22 May 1777 at Westborough, Worcester Co., MA.³ Benjamin Ball died in July 1795 at Westborough, Worcester Co., MA, at age 45; Comment by DGB: While secondary sources indicate that he died about 1787, he was listed as family head on the 1790 census and probate of his estate was completed in 1796, following his writing his last will and testament 6 Jul 1795. References in that proceeding indicate that Benjamin died shortly after that. End of comment.^1,4

     Abigail Ball was born on 18 May 1752 at Hopkinton, Middlesex Co., MA; "Abagail."² She was the daughter of John Ball and Margaret Hemenway.¹ Abigail Ball was baptized on 19 August 1754 at Christ Church, Hopkinton, Middlesex Co., MA.² She married Sylvanus Oak, son of George Oaks and Lydia Eager, on 25 November 1771 at Northborough, Worcester Co., MA.³ Abigail Ball died on 21 May 1808 at age 56.⁴

     Martha Bridges was born on 28 March 1710 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA.² She was the daughter of Caleb Bridges and Sarah Brewer.³ Martha Bridges married Abraham Ball, son of Benjamin Ball and Mary Brewer, on 13 January 1731/32 at Framingham, Middlesex Co., MA.⁴
