     Moses Ball was born on 23 July 1740 at Brookfield, Worcester Co., MA; year listed as 1748 in the printed vital records.1,2 He was the son of Isaac Ball and Rachel Howe.1 Moses Ball married Susannah Nutt, daughter of Abraham Nutt and Grace (????), on 18 February 1762 at Athol, Worcester Co., MA.3 Moses Ball married Relief Twitchell on 4 September 1816.1 Moses Ball and Susannah Nutt posted marriage intentions on 2 January 1762 at Petersham, Worcester Co., MA.4 Moses Ball died on 15 November 1820 at Athol, Worcester Co., MA, at age 80.5 He was buried at Old Pleasant Street Cemetery, Athol, Worcester Co., MA.6
     Moses Ball enlisted 19 September 1775 and was discharged 19 November 1778. He was an Army private with Ichabod Dexter's Company, Col. Doolittle's Regiment. Later he was a Private with Thomas Lord's Company and with Capt. Wing Spooner's Company. He was a Corporal with Capt. Jotham Houghton's Co., Sparhawk's Massachusetts Troops.7

     Isaac Ball was born on 31 December 1747 at Brookfield, Worcester Co., MA.2 He was the son of Isaac Ball and Rachel Howe.1 Isaac Ball married Hannah Commings, daughter of Reuben Commings and Elizabeth Butler, on 3 May 1778 at Athol, Worcester Co., MA.3 Isaac Ball and Hannah Commings posted marriage intentions on 13 April 1778 at Templeton, Worcester Co., MA; "Hannah Cumings."4 Isaac Ball died on 17 August 1809 at VT at age 61.5 He was buried at Varney Cemetery, Bristol, Addison Co., VT.5
     He was a Private in Captain Ichabod Dexter’s Company of Minutemen from Athol, and in Colonel Doolittle’s Regiment. Isaac marched on the Alarm of April 19, 1775 and also participated in the siege of Boston. His total service time for the Alarm was 13 days and he traveled 160 miles in the campaign.

     Zerubabel Ball was born on 18 May 1742 at Brookfield, Worcester Co., MA; "Zerubabell."2 He was the son of Thomas Ball and Hannah Wright.1 Zerubabel Ball married Submitty Hines.1 Zerubabel Ball married Mary Burns circa March 1765.1 Zerubabel Ball married Mary Whittaker.1 Zerubabel Ball and Mary Burns posted marriage intentions in March 1765; "Zerubbabell Ball and Mary Bruce."3 Zerubabel Ball died on 25 November 1829 at Schuyler, Herkimer Co., NY, at age 87.4
     He enlisted in the Revolutionary War from Rutland.1 They were living in Schuyler, NY in 1828.1

     Hannah Ball was born on 29 April 1744 at Brookfield, Worcester Co., MA.2 She was the daughter of Thomas Ball and Hannah Wright.1 Hannah Ball married Moses Ranger, son of Joseph Ranger and Hannah Payne, in 1772 at Brookfield, Worcester Co., MA; "Moses Rainger."1,3 Hannah Ball died on 28 December 1828 at Colrain, Franklin Co., MA, at age 84.
     Comment by DGB: Some trees have assigned Hannah (b. 28 Nov 1764) as a daughter to Moses and Hannah, but that Hannah was the daughter of William and Mehitabel Ranger of Brookfield MA.
     There was a marriage in Colrain, MA 2 Feb 1813 between a Moses Ranger, Jr. and Jenney Smith that may have been a son. End of comment.
