     Silas Ball was born on 11 March 1775 at Leverett, Franklin Co., MA.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Ball and Jerusha Woodbury.¹ Silas Ball married Lucy Cowls, daughter of Josiah Cowles and Christian Graves, say 1806. Silas Ball married Sarah Tyler on 17 February 1801 at Brookfield, Worcester Co., MA.^2,3 Silas Ball died on 6 April 1844 at Leverett, Franklin Co., MA, at age 69.⁴ He was buried at Long Plain Cemetery, Leverett, Franklin Co., MA.⁵

     Lucy Cowls was born on 27 February 1777.² She was the daughter of Josiah Cowles and Christian Graves.¹ Lucy Cowls married Silas Ball, son of Benjamin Ball and Jerusha Woodbury, say 1806. Lucy Cowls died on 30 January 1848 at Leverett, Franklin Co., MA, at age 70.³ She was buried at Long Plain Cemetery, Leverett, Franklin Co., MA.¹

     Orus Ball was born on 3 June 1802 at Townshend, Windham Co., VT.^2,3 He was the son of Silas Ball and Sarah Tyler.¹ Orus Ball married Olive Parsons, daughter of Simeon Parsons and Abigail Bates, in January 1832 at Enfield, Hartford Co., CT.⁴ Orus Ball married Havilla B. Roberts on 25 November 1858 at Chicopee, Hampden Co., MA.¹ Orus Ball died on 26 April 1884 at Leverett, Franklin Co., MA, at age 81.¹ He was buried at Long Plain Cemetery, Leverett, Franklin Co., MA.⁵

     Samantha Ball was born on 5 March 1815 at Townshend, Windham Co., VT; twin of Leonard.² She was the daughter of Silas Ball and Lucy Cowls.¹ Samantha Ball married Enoch Swett.³ Samantha Ball died on 7 February 1883 at Clarkson, Monroe Co., NY, at age 67.³
