     Frances M. Hurlburt was born on 23 March 1829 at Monkton, Addison Co., VT.¹ She was the daughter of Laban Gates Hurlburt and Patty Tuttle.¹ Frances M. Hurlburt married Daniel Ball, son of Jesse Ball and Charity Carpenter, circa 1846.¹ Frances M. Hurlburt married Alexander McKee, son of Alexander McKee, on 27 September 1871 at Charlotte, Chittenden Co., VT.² Frances M. Hurlburt and Alexander McKee were divorced before 1880.³ Frances M. Hurlburt died on 14 November 1890 at Fitchburg, Worcester Co., MA, at age 61.⁴ She was buried at North Ferrisburgh Cemetery, North Ferrisburgh, Addison Co., VT.⁵

Dudley Sterling, son of John Sterling and Nellie S. Pike, on 15 November 1905 at Barre, Washington Co., VT.² Catherine M. Ball."² Robert Aurocius Ball died on 20 October 1920 at Fitchburg, Worcester Co., MA.⁴ He was buried at Forest Hill Cemetery, Fitchburg, Worcester Co., MA.⁴

     Eliza Smith was born on 13 April 1808 at NY.^2,1 She was the daughter of Richard Smith and Jemima Hayden.³ Eliza Smith married David Ball, son of Jesse Ball and Charity Carpenter, on 1 January 1834 at Ferrisburgh, Addison Co., VT.⁴ Eliza Smith died on 7 February 1894 at Charlotte, Chittenden Co., VT, at age 85.⁴ She was buried at North Ferrisburgh Cemetery, North Ferrisburgh, Addison Co., VT.⁵
     Comment by DGB: Both "Smith" girls married "Ball" brothers on the same day. End of comment.³ As of 1 January 1834,her married name was Ball. She had her will proved on 27 May 1895 at Charlotte, Chittenden Co., VT.⁶

     Celinda Ball was born circa 30 March 1835 at VT; birthplace listed as "Waltham" on death record, but that would imply MA, while all census records list her birthplace as VT.^2,3 She was the daughter of David Ball and Eliza Smith.¹ Celinda Ball married Harris F. Tucker, son of William Tucker and Orinda Phebe (????), circa 1855.⁴ Celinda Ball married Charles Levi Palmer, son of Polly Varney, on 14 January 1859 at Charlotte, Chittenden Co., VT.³ Celinda Ball died on 21 December 1891 at Ferrisburgh, Addison Co., VT.³ She was buried at North Ferrisburgh Cemetery, North Ferrisburgh, Addison Co., VT.⁵

     Samuel Ecroyd Smith was born on 31 December 1831 at Doncaster, Yorkshire, England.¹ He was the son of Henry Smith and Maria Robson.¹ Samuel Ecroyd Smith married Sarah Ann Ball, daughter of David Ball and Eliza Smith, on 5 May 1864 at Charlotte, Chittenden Co., VT.² Samuel Ecroyd Smith died on 25 June 1882 at age 50.³ He was buried at North Ferrisburgh Cemetery, North Ferrisburgh, Addison Co., VT.³
